English: LEGASPI, Philippines (June 28, 2007) – Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, Adm. Timothy J. Keating and United States Ambassador to the Philippines, the Honorable Kristie A. Kenney are greeted by Lt. Gen. Yano of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, during a visit to the Bicol region. They both came to the Bicol region to visit the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5), conducting various missions for Pacific Partnership. The Pacific Partnership mission is providing general and ophthalmology surgery, basic medical evaluation and treatment, preventive medicine treatment, dental screenings and treatment, optometry screenings, eyewear distribution, public health training and veterinary services in the Bicol region.
