Description
English: Alexander von Blomberg (1778 – 1813), of the noble Blomberg lineage, was declared the first victim of the Wars of Liberation (technically 17 March 1813, 'An mein Volk' declaration – 18 June 1815, Victory of Waterloo) : in 1913, a monument, designed by Otto Kuhlmann to replace a previous one, was erected near the place where he was mortally wounded on 20 February 1813.
