Le monument Borussia au bord du grand lac à Wannsee Ce monument, dans le style de la Renaissance italienne, comprend une allégorie de l'état de Prusse (Borussia) en son sommet. Il a été construit en 1880 comme belvédère donnant sur le lac dans le jardin de la villa Wild sur la rive Est. L'architecte, qui a conçu les plans du monument Borussia, est Ernst Sputh (mort en 1906). Les sculpteurs de l'allégorie sont Eduard Lürssen (1840-1891) et Andreas Lürssen. A proximité de ce monument, un colossal buste de Bismarck a été érigé jusqu'en 1945. Cette rive du lac, où se trouve la station ferroviaire, a commencé à être lotie à partir de 1875 pour accueillir des villas de riches berlinois. |
