English: "Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel (center) and his wife Amy Rule (left) congratulated Hamaguchi Ryusuke (second from left), director of the 2022 Oscar winning Best International Feature Film, “Drive My Car,” during his visit to the ambassador’s residence in Tokyo, April 12. The success of films such as “Drive My Car” and 2020 Best Picture Oscar winner “Parasite” (from the Republic of Korea) reflects the increasing depth of cultural ties between the United States and its allies in Northeast Asia."
