| Description |
Ames Atrium at the Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland, Ohio. To the left is the 1971 North Wing, designed by Macel Breuer. The North Wing is actually hidden here by galleries built from 2009 to 2014, designed by Rafael Viñoly. A 1958 addition once occupied the atrium space, but it was torn down after 2009. To create the atrium, a new east (partially visible) and west wing were constructed, with a glass-roofed atrium covering the space they enclosed. |
