Description
Français : Bas-relief - Le baptême du Christ, pierre polychromée, vers 1530, Amiens, inv. 1875.1. Trouvé scellé dans le mur d'une maison rue du Cloître Notre-Dame, actuellement rue Cormont. En haut, Dieu le Père bénissant ; à gauche, un ange. La personne agenouillée à côté de la scène du baptême de Jésus par saint Jean est le donateur, en l'occurrence un chanoine de la cathédrale. Le bas-relief devrait provenir de son monument funéraire. Il reproduit par ailleurs un élément d'une œuvre dans la clôture du chœur de la cathédrale, qui est dédiée à la vie de saint Jean le Baptiste.
