| Description |
English: Arms of Amory of Whitechapel, Bishops Nympton, Devon: Barry nebulee of six argent and gules, over all a bend azure. (Source: Heraldic Visitation of Devon, 1620, ed. Vivian, 1895, p.15). These are the arms of the prominent d'Amory family, which survive in the 14th century stained glass window of the choir of Tewkesbury Abbey (see File:Stained glass in Tewkesbury Abbey (4427).jpg), the d'Amory family being connections of the Despensers, who as Lords of Glamorgan had a special connection with that Abbey, founded by Robert FitzHamon (d.1107), 1st Lord of Glamorgan.
