Description
English: Amulets. Green Egyptian earthenware. Sekhmet on the throne in the decans. H. 6.7 cm. The goddess is represented seated on an openwork throne adorned with genies, the decans. She is wearing a long tight dress, customary in ancient Egypt. End of the New Kingdom. Inv. G 39. Behind her: Decan (good celestial genie, image of a star or part of a constellation). XXVIth Dynasty. H. 4 cm. Inv. G 122. Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon.
Français : Amulettes. Faïence égyptienne verte. Sekhmet sur le trône aux décans. H. 6,7 cm. La déesse est représentée assise sur un trône ajouré orné de génies, les décans. Elle est vêtue d'une longue robe moulante, d'usage en ancienne Égypte. Fin du Nouvel Empire. Inv. G 39. Derrière elle : Décan (bon génie céleste, image d'étoile ou de partie de constellation). XXVIe dynastie. H. 4 cm. Inv. G 122. Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon.
