| Description | This seemingly placid One-horned Rhino just feet away from us was totally oblivious to the oggling humans all around him, who comprised of me, a couple of hotel officials and a group of Chinese tourists, including one extremely foolish Chinese lady who tried to get within inches of him to get that stupid selfie with her cell phone. Thank goodness she did not notice the larger and more dangerous adult Rhino grazing in the distance. The hotel officials kept telling the foolish lady to back off and that she was lucky this fellow is sitting- it would take a while for the heavy beast to get up, or else she would be mincemeat by now. (Sauraha, Chitwan, Nepal, Oct/ Nov. 2019) |
