Description
Français : Viaduc de St-Benoit (86).

Mis en service en 1896 pour le passage du tram à vapeur Poitiers-St Martin l'Ars, liaison d'une cinquantaine de km à voie métrique, comme souvent à l'époque pour ce type d'infrastructure relevant des réseaux départementaux.

C'est un ouvrage mixte arches de pierre + travée métallique franchissant, sur près de 330 m, vallée du Clain et ligne classique Paris-Bordeaux.

Les derniers convois l'empruntent en 1934, mettant ainsi un terme à une aventure de moins d'un demi-siècle, ce qui est bref.

Les voyageurs qu'on y croise aujourd'hui sont piétons et 2 roues.
