Description
English: Facade of the former furniture shop Levitan. With in inscrition "Aux classes laborieuses" (=To the classes of workers) : 85-87 rue du faubourg Saint-Martin, Paris 10th arrond. During the german occupation of WWII, they were used to store and sort the furniture of jewish people deported to the concentration camps.
Français : Façades des anciens magasins de meubles Levitan. Avec une inscription "Aux classes laborieuses" : 85-87 rue du faubourg Saint-Martin, Paris 10e arr. Pendant l'occupation allemande, ils étaient utilisés pour trier les meubles saisis chez les juifs déportés.
