B) Formación arterial durante la angiogénesis posnatal en la retina.
La expansión vascular está regulada por brotes anti-ogénicos en el frente vascular, inducidos por un gradiente de VEGF liberado desde el lecho neural en la zona avascular (hipóxica).
La formación de arterias es un proceso de remodelación vascular del lecho capilar.

Las flechas rojas indican la dirección del flujo sanguíneo.
