Description
English: The colophon from "Sachsenspiegel: Landrecht," printed in Augsburg by Anna Rügerin, 22 June 1484. This five line description of printing details is the first documented evidence of a woman working as a typographer. The text reads: "Hie endet ſich der formalari darinn begriffen ſeind aller handbrief Gedruckt vnd vollendt zü Augſpurg von Anna Rügerin·am dornsstag näch vor ſant Peters gefengknus·des jars als manzalt nach criſti geburt M·cccc·lxxxiiij·jar."
Deutsch: Das Impressum des Sachsenspiegel-Teils „Landrecht“, in Augsburg 1484 von Anna Rügerin gedruckt. Der Text besagt: „Hÿe endet sÿch der ſachsenſpiegel mitt ordnung des rechten den der er wirdig in got vater und herr Theodozicus von bockß dorf biſchof zů neunburg ſäliger gecorrigiert hat. Gedruckt un volendt von Anna Rügerin in der keÿserlichen ſtat Augspurg am aftermontag nächst vor Johannis do man zalt nach Criſti gepurt M CCCC lxxxiiij jar“
