Description
English: The ballet dancer Anna Pavlova in a scene from the Assyrian Dance (also: Syrian Dance) after a choreography by Ivan Clustine. The music and basic motif come from the opera Samson and Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns, who himself persuaded Pavlova to include the dance in her repertoire.
Deutsch: Die Balletttänzerin Anna Pawlowa in einer Szene aus dem Assyrischen Tanz (auch: syrischer Tanz) nach einer Choreografie von Ivan Clustine. Musik und Grundmotiv stammen aus der Oper Samson et Dalila von Camille Saint-Saëns, der selbst Pawlowa zur Aufnahme des Tanzes in ihr Repertoire überredete.
