Description
Deutsch: Im Lichtdruck hergestellte Ansichtskarte Nr. 673 eines anonymen Fotografen um 1900 mit Blick von etwa der (heutigen) Velvetstraße durch die Limmerstraße in Richtung Küchengarten. Im Vordergrund links vor dem Eckgebäude der (heutigen) Limmerstraße 60 ist noch ein Teil der Mauer der ehemaligen Arbeitersiedlung der Mechanischen Weberei zu sehen, wo später die Senioren-Wohnanlage Werner-Blumenberg-Haus errichtet wurde mit dem Edeka-Markt. Stadteinwärts an der (heutigen) Haltestelle Leinaustraße in Höhe der beiden Pferdekutschen fahrt die bereits elektrifizierte Straßenbahn-Linie 6 in Richtung "Zoolog. Garten. Das Datum der Foto-Aufnahme dürfte sich noch auf das Jahr genau bestimmen lassen: Das Foto zeigt die Limmerstraße kurz nach der Neu-Anpflanzung zahlreicher junger Bäume als Allee ...
