Description
Deutsch: Die Ansichtskarte mit der fortlaufenden Nummerierung 769 eines noch nicht identifierzierten Fotografen zeigt in einer Aufnahme um 1905 zwei Pferdekutschen vor der Villa Simon, dem damaligen Wohnsitz der Familie von Joseph Berliner, der wenige Jahre zuvor mit seinem Bruder Emil Berliner unter anderem die Deutsche Grammophon gegründet hatte. Möglicherweise lässt sich das Datum der Aufnahme noch genauer eingrenzen: Auf dem seinerzeit von Julius Trip gestalteten begrünten Schmuckplatz in der Mitte des Königsworther Platzes sind die beiden frisch gesetzten hohen Bäume noch mit Seilen befestigt - ein Forschungsthema für den Fachbereich Umwelt und Stadtgrün in Hannover. Vor der damaligen Kaserne der sogenannten "Königsulanen" am rechten Bildrand (das später als Arbeitsamt genutzte Gebäude wurde nach den Luftangriffen auf Hannover im Zweiten Weltkrieg ersetzt durch das Continental-Hochhaus) halten hier zum Zeitpunkt der Aufnahme zwei Straßenbahnen der Linien 1 und 2 ...
