Description
English: Near the old harbour a new museum had sprung up, a toy museum. This type of museum can be found in many towns in Turkey and often is a joy to visit. This one has a fine collection also, lots of - often German - old metal toys, and a lot of - often Japanese - plastic more modern ones. I located many Lehmann Toys on the web (Wikipedia on Tin toys: "Germany was the major producer of tin toys in the world in the early 20th century. The most famous German manufacturer of tin toys was Ernst Paul Lehmann who is said to have exported 90% of his toys. "). This would be: Motor Car Kutsche, 1897-1935. The museum indicated: German, 1900-1910
