Summary[edit]

Description A Aphelandra plant from the Yucatán, which has just finished flowering and is about to set fruit. Note the large bracts to the right of the flowers, and that the flower's long style hasn't fallen off (i.e. it's persistent). These two features are common in the Acanthus family.
