| Description |
English: The restoration of the former radio station building at 110 Victoria Parade (on the corner of Archer Street and Victoria Parade) in the regional Australian city of Rockhampton, Queensland nearing completion.
The project, undertaken by local building firm Griffin Builders, included a complete external upgrade and internal office fit out. The building was originally built to house the radio studios of local station 4RO, and was officially opened by Rockhampton mayor Rex Pilbeam on 18 August 1970. 4RO remained in the building until 2007 when it vacated due to new ownership amid company mergers. Sea FM had commenced broadcasting from the building in 2000 and the station (which was rebranded to Triple M in 2016) remained at the site until 2022 when Southern Cross Austereo vacated the building and relocated to 80 Denham Street. The construction of The Loft Apartments (another Griffin project) further up Archer Street can be seen in the background. |
