  • Arms: Quarterly, first and fourth grandquarters argent, a heart gules imperially crowned proper, on a chief azure three stars of the field (for Douglas); second grandquarter Quarterly, 1st: Azure, a lion rampant argent crowned or; 2nd: Or a bend sable debruised by a lion rampant gules; 3rd: Argent 3 piles gules; 4th: Or, a fess chequy azure and argent surmounted by a bend gules charged with three buckles or (Stewart of Bonkyll); third grandquarter counterquartered, first and fourth gules, three cinquefoils ermine (for Hamilton); second and third argent, a lymphad with sails furled proper, flagged gules (for Arran); fourth grandquarter gules a lion rampant argent, a bordure argent 8 roses gules.
