Description

Após o incêndio no Museu Nacional, no Rio, surgiram notícias de que o documento original da Lei Áurea havia sido queimado no local. No entanto, a lei que aboliu a escravidão, assinada pela Princesa Isabel em 1888, é um dos documentos históricos preservados pelo Arquivo do Senado Federal.
