Summary[edit]

Description
English: Construction of a wider northbound platform for the Ashland Amtrak station along North Railroad Avenue (northbound US Bicycle Route 1 and 76) as seen from Virginia State Route 54 in Ashland, Virginia. This photo was taken on November 20, 2019, and one would be surprised when this project is done that the road was even wide enough for one lane of traffic. Note also the historical marker for Randolph-Macon College on the northeast corner, the very location of the college itself.
