Summary[edit]

Description
English: "A portrait of an Assyrian family from Jilu, Hakkari in 1910, with each family member looking tougher than the next.

The mother & daughter's clothing is adorned with intricate patterns & embroidery, while the father & son's is patterned only by a set of crisscrossing bandoliers.

This photo was taken by the Armenian photographer H. Maghakyan in 1910 as part of a series of photos that were used in Yervand Lalayan's 1913 book, "The Assyrians of Vaspurakan".
