| Description | Athangudi is a small village in the Chettinad region of Tamilnadu State, India. The prosperous trading community, Chettiars built elaborate and regal homes for themselves from the wealth earned from business abroad. Though the descendants for whom these palaces were built have moved on and settled in cities and even abroad, these majestic houses remain as anachronistic remains of past glory! |
