Description
Português: Piloto-branco ou Atobá-mascarado. É a espécie mais comum em Abrolhos, reproduzindo-se em todas as ilhas do arquipélago com as maiores concentrações nas ilhas de Santa Bárbara, Siriba e Sueste. Uma estimativa da população nidificante em julho de 1994 indicou a presença de cerca de 800 indivíduos com ovos e/ou filhotes no arquipélago.

Apresenta coloração geral branca com asas e cauda marrom-escura, íris amarela, bico e pés amarelados, Machos e fêmeas são senhalados possuindo uma mancha preta-azulada ao redor dos olhos e na base do bico. A fêmea é um pouco maior que o macho e a vocalização difere entre os sexos. No início do ciclo reprodutivo, o bico e os pés do macho adquirem uma tonalidade amarelo forte.
