Español: Fernando Errázuriz falleció el 16 de agosto de 1841 y fue sepultado en La Merced. Tres años más tarde, el 21 de septiembre de 1844 su viuda, Carmen Sotomayor, dispone del resto de sus bienes en forma extrajudicial. Su esposa Carmen Sotomayor falleció el 24 de septiembre de 1852. Ella y su esposo están enterrados juntos en el atrio de la Iglesia de la Merced, bajo un hermoso mausoleo, que tiene el siguiente epitafio: Aquí yacen los restos de Fernando Errázuriz y los de su esposa, Carmen Sotomayor. |
