Summary

[edit]
Description Haha! Yes, those really are parakeets! Enicognathus ferrugineus, these are the southern-most parrots in the world, ranging from mid-southern Chile (Temuco) to Cape Horn. They are a brilliant green with some red bits here and there. I also saw some black-and-white parakeets farther north, but I don't remember what they are called. They are immediately recognizable by their raucous squawking/chattering calls, and their very quick wing-beats, and their flocking habit.
