Summary
[edit]DescriptionAwesome extension cord with power strip.jpg |
English: One more example of improper use of old electrical equipment. To make it possible to connect modern European home appliences to old Soviet outlets, a power cord from a table lamp was connected to a power strip that could fit European-standard plugs that had fatter prongs (aka forks) that those of Soviet-standard plugs. This is dangerous, because this plug can handle only 2.5 Amperes. And there is no protection against electrocution, because earthing/grounding contacts are missing! |
