[edit]DescriptionBB-35 Returns to San Jacinto, July 26, 1990 m (13017496905).jpg |
The Battleship Texas, BB-35, is turning 100 this month. She was commissioned March 12, 1914, served in World Wars I and II. She went on display at San Jacinto in 1948. In 1988, after 40 years in her berth, she was towed to Todd Shipyard in Galveston. There and on Greens Bayou, she was restored. On July 26, 1990, she returned to her berth at San Jacinto. These are scans of Kodachrome slides that I took with a Pentax Spotmatic F. I don't recall what lens I used. |
