BabukungBabukung est une danse traditionnelle masquée typique de la tribu Tomun Dayak dans la régence de Lamandau. Le masque utilisé dans cette danse a une caractéristique distinctive, qui se présente sous la forme d’un certain animal appelé Luha.

English: Babukung is a traditional mask dance typical of the Tomun Dayak Tribe in Lamandau Regency. The mask used in this dance has a distinctive feature, which is in the form of a certain animal called Luha. The dancers are referred to as Bukung who usually come from neighboring villages or community groups. The staging of Babukung Dance is usually on the traditional ritual of death. The goal is to comfort bereaved families while providing assistance. Now, Lamandau Local Government has raised Babukung Dance as an annual festival that can be attended by nearly 1000 people.
Français : Les danseurs sont appelés Bukung qui viennent généralement des villages voisins ou des groupes communautaires. La mise en scène de la danse Babukung est généralement sur le rituel traditionnel de la mort. L’objectif est de réconforter les familles endeuillées tout en leur apportant de l’aide. Maintenant, le gouvernement local de Lamandau a élevé la danse Babukung en tant que festival annuel auquel peuvent assister près de 1000 personnes. |
