Description
Deutsch: Der spätklassizistische Kursaal (erbaut 1836-39) spiegelt sich in der Lahn. Hier traf sich im 19. Jahrhundert die europäische Gesellschaft zur Kur und zum Spiel. Besonders für Monarchen, Aristokraten, Industrielle und Künstler war Bad Ems ein Magnet. Im Kurgarten unmittelbar vor dem Kursaal wurde aber auch der Anlass für den Deutsch-Französischen Krieg von 1870/71 (Emser Depeche) gegeben.
