Français : Autrefois appelé Bain royal, Bain neuf ou Bain impérial. Construit à l'emplacement du couvent des Capucins vendu comme bien national en 1791. En 1810, un premier devis de construction est demandé à l'architecte- entrepreneur Nicolas Grillot. Travaux débutent en 1812. De 1820 à 1822, reconstruction de la maison dite "Lorette", dépendance du Bain Impérial. En 1822-1823, aménagement du jardin en terrasses. Travaux d'amélioration de 1838 à 1855. En 1930, face aux critiques des utilisateurs et à la concurrence d'autres villes thermales, l'architecte Robert Danis propose une reconstruction du bâtiment, à l'exception de la façade principale. En 1931, des travaux de captage des eaux minérales permettent d'intéressantes observations sur les aménagements hydrauliques d'époque gallo-romaine. De 1932 à 1935, reconstruction de l'établissement sous la direction de l'architecte Danis. En 1998-1999, réfection de la plupart des carrelages des cabines de bains. |
