Summary[edit]

Description
English: This building at 2236-8 NW Market St was built in 1927 by the G.O. Guy Drug Company who occupied the southern half of the building. Puget Sound Power & Light occupied this portion of the building as early as 1931. The two halves of the building were remodeled by separate tenants over the years, concealing the original facade. In the early 2000s this half of the building (2236 Market) was partially restored, revealing the original details including cartouches with the letter G, for G.O. Guy. Most of the buildings on this block including this one have been recently demolished for new development. Being just outside the limits of the Ballard Avenue historic district, none of them were protected.
