Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Fisher Building located at 5307 Ballard Ave NW, prior to being refurbished in to a restaurant with a rooftop patio. Built for F.V. Fisher by Gardner J. Gwinn in 1927. After initially serving as the jewelry & optical shop of G.A. Lindauer, whose business on the site dated back to a previous building here, the building served as an unemployment office during the great depression. During World War II it was the neighborhood location of the U.S. Ration Board office. Immediately after the war, it was the home of the Ballard Auto Co. who sold the short-lived Frazer & Kaizer automobile lines. Fisher and Gwinn also built the building at 5317 Ballard Ave the same year.
