English: Flag of the Second Empire of Brazil, with 20 stars, representing the new provincies of Rio Negro (1850, later Amazonas) and Paraná (1853), furthermore the loss of the province of Cisplatina (1828). Reformed standard according to this book, an official publication of the government of Brazil, on page 74.
Português: Bandeira do Império do Brasil em que o nó, que ata os ramos floridos e em própria cor de tabaco de café, está no padrão mais correto, pois está em verde e amarelo. Sobre erros na heráldica desse símbolo esse livro, editado em 1993 pelo Governo do Brasil, esclarece melhor Presidência da República. Os Símbolos Nacionais - edição especial comemorativa da semana da Pátria. Brasília: Casa Civil, 1993 mais precisamente nas paginas 74 e seguintes. |
