Isoodon fusciventer It is actually a Quenda and is a type of Bandicoot. We are happy to have this one in our garden. It has been scratching around our garden shrubs. They can become very tame and allow you to approach them. This one is still wary of us. They are small marsupials that live on the ground and often mistaken for rats in Perth but they are generally bigger and fatter with shorter tails. Quenda are most often seen at dusk because they are mostly nocturnal animals, but they can also be active during the day, especially in winter. www.dpaw.wa.gov.au/images/documents/plants-animals/animal... |
