English: The Basílica Menor de San Francisco, belonging to the order of Friars Minor (commonly called simply the "Franciscans"), the first one in be establishing in Buenos Aires about the year 1583. The current church was begun to construct in 1731, a project of the Jesuit architect Andrés Blanqui. It is located on the corner of Defensa and Alsina, Monserrat.
Español: La Basílica Menor de San Francisco, perteneciente a la orden de los Frailes Menores (Franciscanos), la primera en establecerse en Buenos Aires hacia el año 1583. La actual iglesia fue comenzada a construir en 1731, por medio de un proyecto del arquitecto jesuita Andrés Blanqui. Está localizada en la esquina de Defensa y Alsina, barrio de Monserrat.
Português: A Basílica Menor de San Francisco, pertencente à ordem dos Frades Menores (Franciscanos), a primeira em estabelecer-se em Buenos Aires para o ano 1583. A atual igreja foi começada a construir em 1731, por meio de um projeto do arquiteto jesuíta Andrés Blanqui. Está localizada na esquina de Denfesa e Alsina, bairro de Monserrat.
