Français : Cette barque à avirons (battela) a été construit en 1948 par le chantier ORTIZ et ORDOQUI à Socoa, l'un des plus vieux chantiers naval du Pays basque Nord, pour être le gros lot d'une tombola organisée par le Syndicat des marins. Le premier propriétaire est M. Sallaberry dit «
Ttapalo » qui l'utilise peu mais l'entretient bien. Le second propriétaire est Henri Turnaco, par ailleurs co-armateur du thonier FIFINE-HENRI III. Jean-Pierre Laquèche le repère et le fait restaurer au chantier Ordoqui de Socoa par Philippe, le fls de son constructeur. Laquèche l'utilise pour aller pêcher le chipiron dans la baie et pour le plaisir de pratiquer l'aviron. Il en fait don à l'association Itsas Begia, après en avoir fait faire un moule par le chantier Ordoqui pour s'en faire construire un modèle en polyester. Ago Lo est le père de tous les battelikus construits ensuite. |
