English: 1933 - 1942/ To the many thousands of our CCC buddies, Americas tree soldiers of the 1930's who became a large part of our armed forces during the 1940's together with their fellow Americans who perished in the conquest of these Western Pacific Islands and surrounding seas, we who survived salute you. We will remember forever.
We the men of the National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps Alumni of the United States of America dedicate this plaque. Erected February 1991 |
