English: Wildfires in British Columbia on June 30, 2021 around 2 p.m. local time (21:00 Universal Time) . Image acquied with Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the NOAA-20 satellite.
There are three wildfires visible: A smaller fire just south of Lytton, which burned down the town later that day. The McKay Creek fire (left) and the Sparks Lake fire (right), which burned around 150 and 200 km² respectively by morning of July 1. |
