Summary[edit]

Description
English: Grave of actor Bela Lugosi at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California (grotto, lot 120, grave 1). Lugosi was born Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó on October 20, 1882 in Lugos, Austria-Hungary. He used the stage name Arisztid Olt in Hungarian silent films of 1917–18, then began using Bela Lugosi (the surname derived from the town of his birth) when he began acting in America in the 1920s. He is best known for playing Count Dracula in the 1924 Broadway play and its 1931 film version. He died of a heart attack on August 16, 1956 in Los Angeles, California at age 73. At the request of his son Bela G. Lugosi and fourth wife Lillian, he was buried wearing one of the Dracula costume capes.
