| Description |
English: Approaching the public foot crossing across the Bidston-Wrexham rail line, whilst walking westwards from Storeton to Thingwall, Wirral, UK just after 9am on a Saturday morning. At the time of the photo, trains are only once per hour each direction on this route.
Crossings like this are a pretty rare sight on the Wirral as most of the local lines have an electrified third rail with only occasional official crossing points (e.g. at Hoylake), however, the mid-wirral line shown here remains unelectrified as of 2009. This stile has since been replaced by a kissing gate. |
