DescriptionBensour meteorite, small individual.jpg | In Feb 2002, a Berber tending to his camels witnessed a large fireball explode near the Morocco/Algeria border. The man assumed that a military plane had been shot down and set off to locate the wreckage. What he ended up discovering was the site of a brecciated LL6 chondrite fall now known as Bensour. This meteorite possesses a striking black fusion crust and a crumbly, fine grained gray matrix. | ||
