The bas-relief is a casting of a fragment of a larger work by Pieter-Jan Braecke, representing women looking up to the crucified Christ, as indicated by a foot pierced by a nail in the upper-left corner. The casting was made in 1989 by Fernand Vanderplancke to be exposed at the facade of the house at the corner of the Pieter Braeckestraat.
