Deutsch: Die alte Ortsmauer von Bieber in der Oberhofstraße.
Beschriftung der Hinweistafel an der Ortsmauer: "(...)Die Dorfbefestigung ist vermutlich in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts angelegt worden. Sie umschloss Bieber auf drei Seiten im Bereich der heutigen Seligenstädter Straße, Langener Straße und westlich der Rathausgasse. Der Bieberbach, im Südosten, war ein natürlicher Schutz und machte eine zusätzliche Mauer überflüssig. Von dieser Umwehrung sind noch Abschnitte erhalten. Sie wurden mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung des Bieberer Heimatvereins e. V. in den Jahren 2006/2007 gesichert und restauriert." |
