| Description |
English: This meeting room was used for the Cabinet meetings that were held every Wednesday. Present at these meetings are the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister as well as the rest of the Cabinet Ministers. The Chief Secretary acts as the Secretary in charge of the meetings. These august meetings of ministers have, in the spirit of consultation, deliberated and made significant decisions relating to various issues such as finance, education and foreign relations, as well as government re-organisation, approval of mega projects and many others.
On 16 June 1999 Tun Dr. Mahathir presided over the very last Cabinet meeting held here in this room. The New Cabinet Meeting Room currently located in the new Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya after the new Federal Government Administrative Centre on 21 June 1999.
Bahasa Melayu: Bilik Mesyuarat Kabinet ini digunakan oleh Jemaah Menteri untuk bermesyuarat pada hari Rabu setiap minggu. Mesyuarat Jemaah Menteri dipengerusikan oleh Perdana Menteri dan ahli-ahli mesyuarat terdiri daripada Timbalan Perdana Menteri, semua Jemaah Menteri dan Ketua Setiausaha Negara sebagai Setiausaha Mesyuarat. Bilik mesyuarat ini menyaksikan segala perbincangan dan keputusan kerajaan dibuat secara suasana musyawarah yang menyentuh pelbagai isu berkaitan kewangan, pendidikan, hubungan antarabangsa, organisasi kerajaan serta kelulusan projek-projek mega kerajaan.
Mesyuarat Jemaah Menteri terakhir diadakan pada 16 Jun 1999 dan telah dipengerusi oleh Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Perdana Menteri Malaysia ke-4 di bilik ini berikutan perpindahan Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan Persekutuan yang baru ke Putrajaya pada 21 Jun 1999. |
