[edit]DescriptionBishop PeterCourtenay Chimneypiece c1486 ExeterPalace SeeImpalingCourtenay.jpg | Arms of Bishop Peter Courtenay (d.1492), Bishop of Exeter and Bishop of Winchester, showing arms of See of Winchester impaling arms of Courtenay, the shield surrounded by three dolphins conjoined in annulo each vorant of the tail of the one in front, a dolphin being the heraldic device of the Courtenay family. In the top spandrels are shown three intertwined sickles, heraldic badge of the Hungerford family; in the lower spandrels are shown a garb of wheat, heraldic badge of the Peverell family.
