| Description |
English: Built in 1895, this Romanesque Revival and Classical Revival-style building was constructed by Lew Wallace, and is known as the Blacherne Apartments. The building features a red brick exterior, a stone base, semi-circular oriel windows, light courts with arched openings, one-over-one windows with stone lintels and sills, decorative carved stone details, cylindrical corner turrets, a front entrance door with a decorative limestone arch above, and rusticated brick at the top of the building below the cornice. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and remains in use as an apartment building. |
