Description
English: Because of the Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Catholic Church , the Black Nazarene procession in Bulacan 2023 - January 9 consisted of the iconic "Antigua" Black Nazarene statue (Atty. Emilio Camacho Santos OIC Mayor of Baliuag - May 1986 to February 1988 & wife "Sinang" were the administrators of this photographed statue since earlier than 1940s until 1967, when by "Salin" the spouses Santos transferred the administration to "Kapatirang Nazareno Baliwag" under Mario Cruz and Rey Gonzalez) Traslación (from Baliuag Church participated by Black Nazarene devotees from 6-9 pm candle procession in 2 lines under the Kapatiran and Hijos de Nazareno marshalls, usherette and local police centered upon the religious Karakol or procession-dance - not per street dancing but by "Pasanan" or shouldercarrying the wooden poles of Black Nazarane, installed upon wooden platform by the barefoot Hijos-Kapatiran Nazareno - and performing the non-stop ritual rythmic "medya" movement dance - culminating in the triumphant entry of the statue to the Church's Porta Sancta (meeting the smaller statue in like manner "Pasanan"- rythmic "medya" movement dance by the Mamasan ng Cambaog - raising up the Bustos statue with dramatic shouting of "Viva Señor Jesus Nazareno!").d
