Description

You won't find two bigger names in gangster history than Al Capone and Charles "Lucky" Luciano, both of whom attended the Blackstone Hotel.

In 1931, New York-based Luciano hosted the first ever Crime Convention in the Crystal Ballroom here. The purpose of it was to establish a board of directors for the National Crime Syndicate.

Al Capone hung out in this hotel years earlier. Capone, whose father owned a barber shop in Brooklyn, liked to get his hair cut here.

In 1987, the famous Capone-baseball bat scene in the movie "The Untouchables" was filmed here.
